About the Opportunity

An established and rapidly growing electrical contractor is seeking a Regional Director to lead branch operations, drive strategic growth, and oversee the successful delivery of major electrical construction projects across the region.

This is a senior leadership position responsible for operational performance, financial management, client relationships, project execution, and team development. The successful candidate will provide vision and direction for multiple project teams while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape a regional business, mentor future leaders, and play a key role in expanding market presence across commercial, mission critical, industrial, healthcare, and infrastructure sectors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide full P&L ownership and accountability for regional branch performance.
  • Monitor and manage revenue, profitability, forecasting, billings, cash flow, accounts receivable, and project financial health.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, superintendents, estimators, and support staff.
  • Create a culture focused on safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, vendors, and industry partners.
  • Support business development efforts through networking and strategic client engagement.
  • Review project estimates, change orders, contracts, and risk management strategies.
  • Drive consistency in project execution, scheduling, and operational procedures.
  • Oversee project planning, staffing, resource allocation, and scheduling activities.
  • Ensure alignment between project teams and company objectives.
  • Champion innovation in preconstruction, prefabrication, VDC/BIM processes, and construction technology.
  • Implement and maintain company systems, procedures, and best practices across all projects.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership and regional peers to drive company-wide initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience within the electrical construction industry.
  • Proven leadership experience managing multiple project teams and operations.
  • Strong understanding of electrical construction financials, forecasting, budgeting, and project controls.
  • Experience delivering large-scale electrical construction projects safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the region as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of leadership experience within electrical construction.
  • Experience overseeing mission critical, data center, healthcare, industrial, or large commercial projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of estimating, scheduling, and project management software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent scheduling platforms.
  • Experience with BIM/VDC, prefabrication, and modern construction technologies.
  • Strong business development and client management background.
