Electrical Superintendent
About the Opportunity
A leading electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee field operations on large-scale data center and mission-critical construction projects throughout the DC Metro region.
This position will play a key role in driving schedule performance, managing field teams, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction leadership and experience working on complex commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day electrical field operations on active construction projects
- Manage foremen, electricians, subcontractors, and project crews
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and site logistics
- Drive project schedules and maintain productive workflow
- Conduct regular site walks and proactively resolve field issues
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Coordinate with project management and other trades to support successful execution
- Participate in owner, contractor, and coordination meetings
- Monitor quality standards and ensure installations meet project requirements
- Enforce jobsite safety policies and regulatory compliance
- Track workforce productivity and labor utilization
- Support project closeout, turnover, and commissioning activities
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
Qualifications
- 8+ years of electrical construction experience
- Prior experience as a Superintendent, General Foreman, Lead Foreman, or similar field leadership role
- Experience overseeing multiple crews and subcontractors
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety requirements
- Experience managing manpower planning and project schedules
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Valid driver's license

- QA/QC inspections and field documentation
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software
