Compensation: $85,000-$100,000

A leading environmental consulting firm is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to join its growing team in the Minneapolis-St. Paul market. This position offers the opportunity to manage environmental investigation, remediation, and regulatory compliance projects while working with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, geologists, environmental scientists, and health & safety professionals.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients, regulators, and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage environmental projects from initial investigation through regulatory closure

  • Lead site characterization, remedial investigations, risk evaluations, and remediation projects involving soil, groundwater, and sediment impacts

  • Develop and oversee project scopes, budgets, schedules, and project deliverables

  • Prepare and review technical reports, work plans, cost estimates, health and safety plans, and regulatory submissions

  • Evaluate remediation alternatives and develop cost-effective closure strategies

  • Coordinate field activities, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, regulators, and project stakeholders

  • Ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and meet quality objectives

  • Mentor junior staff and support team development efforts

  • Assist with proposal preparation and business development initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related discipline

  • 5+ years of environmental consulting experience

  • Experience managing site investigation, remediation, compliance, or due diligence projects

  • Strong understanding of state and federal environmental regulations

  • Experience advancing projects through regulatory programs and obtaining site closure

  • 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification required

  • Professional certifications such as PE, PG, CHMM, EIT, or GIT are a plus

  • Experience with SPCC, SWPPP, environmental compliance, or remediation projects preferred

  • Excellent communication, technical writing, and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
