Exterior Restoration Superintendent
The Opportunity
A well-established mid-sized exterior restoration contractor in Florida is seeking an experienced Exterior Restoration Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations across active restoration projects. This is a hands-on role suited for a strong field leader who takes ownership of safety, quality, schedule, and crew performance.
You'll be responsible for driving execution on complex exterior restoration work, often on occupied and high-visibility buildings, while coordinating crews, subcontractors, and jobsite logistics.
Typical Project Scopes
- Concrete repair and restoration
- Façade rehabilitation (masonry, stucco, EIFS)
- Waterproofing and building envelope repairs
- Balcony, deck, and structural exterior repairs
- Occupied multi-family, commercial, and institutional properties
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily onsite construction activities across exterior restoration projects
- Supervise self-perform crews and subcontractors
- Enforce jobsite safety standards and maintain a strong safety culture
- Manage quality control to ensure work is performed to plans and specifications
- Coordinate logistics including access equipment (swing stages, scaffolding, lifts) and material deliveries
- Work closely with Project Managers on scheduling, manpower, sequencing, and field issues
- Maintain daily reports, photos, and accurate field documentation
- Proactively identify and resolve field challenges to keep projects on track
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Field Supervisor
- Background in exterior restoration, concrete repair, façade rehabilitation, or waterproofing
- Strong understanding of building envelope systems and restoration methods
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Proven leadership and communication skills in active field environments
Preferred
- OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience working on occupied or phased restoration projects
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
