They are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer - Project Manager to lead a wide range of subsurface investigation and construction phase projects. This role is ideal for a motivated geotechnical professional who enjoys managing projects end-to-end, working closely with clients, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, high value engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage geotechnical engineering projects from initial investigation through design and construction support
- Coordinate and oversee subsurface investigation programmes, including drilling activities and field operations
- Review and interpret boring logs, laboratory testing data, and field results
- Develop laboratory testing programmes and perform geotechnical analyses
- Prepare and review technical reports, ensuring accuracy and quality of deliverables
- Manage field engineers and technicians during construction and investigation phases
- Review field reports and confirm compliance with design drawings and specifications
- Act as a key point of contact for clients and project stakeholders, maintaining strong working relationships
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions
- Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required
- 5+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering within a consulting environment
- Demonstrated experience managing geotechnical projects and field programmes
- Strong technical expertise in subsurface investigations, laboratory testing interpretation, and geotechnical analysis
- Experience overseeing construction phase services and field teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and project management capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Collaborative mindset with a client-focused approach
