Position Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Geotechnical Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex ground engineering projects. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects, managing client relationships, and ensuring successful execution from concept through construction.

The position is well suited to a candidate with a strong technical foundation in geotechnical or civil engineering, combined with proven project management experience. You will serve as a key link between design, field operations, and clients, helping to drive both project success and long-term business growth.


Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery

  • Manage geotechnical and ground engineering projects from inception through completion
  • Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget

Client Engagement & Business Development

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, maintaining and developing strong relationships
  • Support proposal development, project scoping, and contract negotiations
  • Identify opportunities for repeat business and project expansion

Technical Oversight & Coordination

  • Collaborate with engineering teams on design for deep foundations, ground improvement, and retention systems
  • Coordinate closely with construction and field teams to ensure successful execution
  • Provide technical input and oversight to ensure design intent and quality standards are met

Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work cross-functionally with engineers, estimators, and field personnel
  • Mentor junior staff and support team development
  • Contribute to a collaborative, solutions-oriented work environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Construction Engineering (or related discipline)
  • 5+ years of project management experience within geotechnical, civil, or heavy construction environments
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical systems, including deep foundations and ground improvement techniques
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, clients, and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is advantageous but not required
