ICT Design Engineer
We are seeking a professional to develop designs for structured cabling, pathways, security systems, and audio-visual solutions across diverse facility types in Georgia and other U.S. locations. This position involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams throughout all project stages-ranging from proposals and planning to engineering, construction oversight, and final close-out. Strong organizational, technical design, and communication abilities are essential.
Core Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Minimum of 2 years' experience creating designs for building and outside-plant telecom systems, including preparation of drawings and written documentation
- Familiarity with relevant telecommunications codes and industry standards
Preferred Background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (or equivalent hands-on experience in system installation, network maintenance, or related technical fields)
- Proven ability to design access control, video surveillance (CCTV), and intrusion detection systems
- Skilled in developing copper and fiber optic structured cabling layouts for buildings
- Experience with audio-visual system design
- Knowledge of secure facility planning and protective design standards
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit for producing building design packages
- Ability to create CSI-based construction specifications tailored to project needs
- Familiarity with construction-phase support tasks such as responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and conducting site assessments
Nice-to-Have Credentials
- BICSI RCDD certification
- AVIXA CTS certification for audio-visual design
- Experience estimating engineering effort for building design projects
