Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our diverse engineering team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals with on-the-job training provided to driven candidates. The successful candidate will support geotechnical projects from field exploration through design and reporting, working under the guidance of senior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist with planning and executing geotechnical site investigations, including drilling, sampling, and field testing
· Log soil and rock samples and support laboratory testing
· Perform geotechnical engineering and geological analyses and calculations
· Prepare and write engineering and other reports
· Conduct site visits to monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with design specifications
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil engineers, contractors, and project managers
· Maintain accurate project documentation and field records
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required with an MS or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering preferred
· 2 to 5 years of experience
· Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
· Ability to work both in the field and in an office environment
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with geotechnical software is a plus
Work Environment:
· Project-driven work involving both dynamic field work and organized office tasks, creating a engaging and varied role.
· Occasional travel to project sites
· May require working outdoors in varying weather conditions and on construction sites
