Land Development Project Manager

As the Atlanta team continues to expand, they are seeking a Civil Project Manager to help lead project delivery, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the continued success of the business.

Position Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineering professional who enjoys balancing technical design, project management, client interaction, and team leadership.

You will work closely with engineers, designers, clients, contractors, and reviewing agencies to deliver projects from concept through construction. The role offers exposure to a variety of project types and provides a clear path for continued professional growth.

Candidates located throughout the Greater Atlanta area will be considered, provided they are able to work a hybrid schedule and commute to the office as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Lead and manage site development projects from planning through construction.
• Assist in the preparation, review, and finalization of site plans and construction documents.
• Coordinate project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and internal resources.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard of quality.

Technical Responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering reports, studies, recommendations, and technical documentation.
• Support hydrology and hydraulic analyses, stormwater management reports, utility design, and project scheduling activities.
• Oversee the preparation of design plans and construction packages utilizing industry standard engineering software.
• Provide technical guidance and quality control throughout project execution.

Leadership & Mentorship

• Mentor and support junior engineers and designers.
• Provide technical direction and assist team members with project related challenges.
• Foster a collaborative environment focused on professional growth and project success.

Construction & Client Coordination

• Support permitting, agency coordination, and construction related activities.
• Assist with quantity estimates, plan reviews, and implementation of project deliverables.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Design Technology

• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering tools to support project delivery.
• Help drive efficiency and quality through effective use of engineering technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in civil engineering, land development, or site development projects.
• Strong understanding of grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, and permitting processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced consulting environment.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring junior staff is highly desirable.
