About the Role

LVI are working with a company who are seeking to an experienced and highly motivated Land Development professional to oversee and manage residential and/or commercial land development projects in the San Antonio area. This is a fully remote role, with periodic site visits as needed. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management skills, deep knowledge of civil engineering and land entitlement processes, and the ability to coordinate seamlessly with internal teams, consultants, and local jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of land development projects-from due diligence and feasibility through construction and turnover.
  • Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, environmental consultants, and contractors to ensure timely and cost‑effective project delivery.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and contracts.
  • Oversee entitlement processes, permitting, and approvals with local municipalities and government agencies.
  • Review and approve engineering plans, plats, grading plans, and construction documents.
  • Conduct site assessments and coordinate periodic site visits.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including builders, utility providers, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3-7+ years of experience in land development, site/civil engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge of Texas land development regulations, permitting processes, and utility coordination.
  • Proven track record managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with engineering plans, construction drawings, and related software.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate across distributed teams.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits and meetings as needed in the San Antonio area.
