Latrobe and Wexford, PA - Transportation/Traffic Engineers
A well-established, multidisciplinary civil engineering consulting firm is seeking experienced Transportation/Traffic Engineers to join its growing team in the greater Pittsburgh region.
Key Responsibilities
- Highway and roadway design for a variety of public and private sector clients
- Preparation of engineering plans, calculations, and contract documents
- CADD drafting and design development
- Field reviews and site inspections
- Coordination with internal engineering disciplines and project stakeholders
- Collection and analysis of traffic data, including turning movement counts, speed studies, travel time studies, and automatic traffic recorder data
- Preparation of traffic engineering reports and recommendations
- Development of traffic signal, signing and pavement marking, and maintenance of traffic plans
- Review of traffic impact studies associated with land development projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Approximately 5+ years of transportation and/or traffic engineering experience
- Experience using traffic analysis software such as Synchro, HCM, and Trip Generation programs
- Knowledge of roadway design and transportation engineering principles
- Working knowledge of MicroStation or similar design software
- PE license preferred, or the desire and ability to obtain licensure
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a project team
