A growing construction and restoration firm is built on a foundation of creativity, communication, and quality. The business specializes in complex repair and restoration projects, with a strong focus on delivering clear, defensible solutions in high-stakes environments. They are now seeking a Repair Litigation Estimator to support defect analysis and dispute-related work.


Position Overview

The Repair Litigation Estimator is responsible for preparing detailed, well-supported cost estimates for construction defect and litigation matters. This individual works closely with business development, operations, and expert teams to produce estimates that are accurate, clearly documented, and suitable for legal review.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of existing building conditions, causation-driven repairs, and the documentation standards required in litigation environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review construction defect claims involved in litigation or active disputes
  • Prepare detailed, line-item repair estimates with full supporting backup
  • Analyze contractor bids, invoices, expert reports, and opposing estimates
  • Identify scope gaps, pricing discrepancies, and code-related issues
  • Produce clear written summaries to support legal strategy and negotiations
  • Collaborate with attorneys, claims professionals, and expert witnesses
  • Respond to discovery requests related to estimating methodology and costs
  • Assist with depositions, mediations, and settlement discussions when needed
  • Ensure all estimates align with applicable building codes and industry standards
  • Maintain organized, litigation-ready documentation and estimate files

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in litigation support, insurance estimating, or expert-driven environments
  • Strong mathematical ability (arithmetic, algebra, geometry)
  • Deep understanding of construction methods, building systems, and building codes
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $100,000 - $185,000 (dependent on experience)
