M&A Associate Director

Our client is a rapidly growing digital infrastructure and connectivity platform in Southeast Asia, focused on enabling next-generation enterprise and technology solutions. Backed by a strong shareholder base and long-term growth strategy, the company is actively expanding its capabilities across telecommunications, digital services, and infrastructure-related investments. As part of its growth ambitions, the organisation is looking to strengthen its corporate development function by hiring an experienced M&A professional to evaluate strategic partnerships, investments, and acquisition opportunities that support future expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess potential acquisition, merger, and strategic investment opportunities across the digital infrastructure, telecommunications, and technology sectors.
  • Evaluate target companies based on strategic fit, market positioning, growth prospects, and synergies.
  • Develop detailed financial models, including DCF, LBO, and valuation analyses, to support investment decisions.
  • Lead end-to-end M&A execution, including deal structuring, commercial negotiations, and transaction management.
  • Coordinate due diligence processes with legal, finance, tax, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Support post-transaction integration activities to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and value creation.
  • Track the performance of acquired businesses and recommend operational or strategic improvements where necessary.
  • Prepare investment materials and present findings to senior management and key decision-makers.
  • Manage relationships with external advisors, consultants, and other transaction counterparties.
  • Ensure all transactions adhere to regulatory requirements, governance standards, and internal policies.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, private equity, corporate development, or management consulting.
  • Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; CFA, CPA, or similar qualifications are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in executing M&A transactions, investments, or strategic corporate initiatives.
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, and commercial due diligence capabilities.
  • Exposure to digital infrastructure, telecommunications, technology, fibre, data centre, connectivity, or adjacent sectors would be highly beneficial.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and project management skills.
