Manager, Nuclear Training

A leading engineering and infrastructure organization is seeking a Nuclear Training Manager to develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive training and qualification program supporting nuclear engineering, licensing, procurement, construction, commissioning, quality, and operations personnel. This role will be responsible for building a high-performing training culture while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

Position Overview

The Nuclear Training Manager will lead the development and execution of training programs designed to strengthen workforce capabilities, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the growth of nuclear-focused teams. This individual will partner closely with technical subject matter experts, leadership, human resources, and operational stakeholders to deliver effective learning solutions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage nuclear training programs, learning curricula, qualification processes, and assessment tools.
• Partner with technical leaders and subject matter experts to create and maintain personnel qualification programs.
• Identify workforce development needs and align training initiatives with organizational goals.
• Oversee classroom, virtual, and blended learning programs while ensuring effective knowledge transfer and engagement.
• Maintain training documentation, records, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor evolving regulatory standards and integrate requirements into training programs.
• Analyze training effectiveness metrics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Manage training budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Support learning management systems and training technology initiatives.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, compliance, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience in technical training, workforce development, instructional delivery, or training program management.
• Background within the nuclear industry, including areas such as engineering, construction, operations, maintenance, quality, or training.
• Experience establishing and maintaining structured qualification and training programs.
• U.S. citizenship required due to nuclear industry regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of nuclear quality assurance standards and training record requirements.
• Experience working within NRC or DOE regulated environments.
• Familiarity with learning management systems and technical training platforms.
• Understanding of the systematic approach to training (SAT) methodology.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, highly regulated environment.
