A leading Atlanta-based mechanical contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of large-scale HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects across commercial, healthcare, industrial, mission-critical, and institutional markets. What You'll Do
- Assist Project Managers with the planning, execution, and closeout of mechanical construction projects.
- Support procurement efforts, material tracking, and subcontractor coordination.
- Help manage project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation.
- Attend project meetings with clients, general contractors, and field teams.
- Track project progress and help ensure milestones are achieved.
- Coordinate with VDC/BIM, fabrication, field operations, and accounting teams.
- Assist with cost reporting and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- 2-5+ years of experience in mechanical construction, HVAC, plumbing, or piping projects.
- Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or similar role.
- Understanding of construction project management processes and documentation.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working for a mechanical contractor is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
