Mechanical Design Engineer
A growing design firm is seeking a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for healthcare facilities, including hospitals, outpatient centers, and medical office buildings. This role is well‑suited for a designer who is eager to deepen technical skills, gain exposure to complex building systems, and contribute to projects that directly impact patient care and clinical environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and documentation of HVAC and plumbing systems for healthcare projects
- Produce construction drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
- Perform basic calculations and equipment selections under engineer supervision
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines
- Apply healthcare‑specific codes and standards with guidance from senior staff
- Incorporate redlines and support permit and construction phases
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related engineering or technical field
- 4+ years of mechanical design experience in building systems
- PE preferred
- Healthcare project experience preferred
- Proficiency in Revit; working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
