Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $84,000 - $92,000

Our client is seeking a Job Captain to join their Denver office and support the delivery of multifamily residential projects from design development through construction administration. This role is ideal for a technically skilled architectural professional who enjoys coordinating project teams, developing construction documents, and ensuring projects progress efficiently from concept through completion.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving project needs and priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Project Managers and design teams to produce accurate, coordinated, and code-compliant construction documents.
  • Support multifamily residential projects from entitlement and design development through construction administration.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal team members to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Research and apply zoning requirements, local regulations, and applicable building codes.
  • Assist in responding to plan review comments and permit agency requirements.
  • Prepare and issue permit, bid, and construction document packages.
  • Conduct site visits and document construction progress through field reports.
  • Participate in construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittal reviews, addenda, and bulletins.
  • Maintain project quality standards, schedules, and documentation.
  • Travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience working on multifamily residential projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows.
  • Strong working knowledge of Bluebeam.
  • Understanding of building codes, accessibility requirements, and wood-frame construction systems.
  • Experience with Type III and Type V construction preferred.
  • Ability to develop architectural details, sections, schedules, and construction documents with limited supervision.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Collaborative mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience mentoring junior staff and performing quality control reviews.
  • Knowledge of waterproofing systems and building envelope detailing.
  • Familiarity with rendering and presentation software.
  • Experience improving project workflows and production efficiency.
  • Previous experience working with distributed or multi-office project teams.
