Municipal Senior Engineer/Project Manager

You'll work on projects from planning and design through construction while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and municipal stakeholders.
About the Role
You'll support the delivery of municipal infrastructure and capital improvement projects that help communities maintain and improve essential public assets. Projects may include:
- Roadway reconstruction and rehabilitation
- Drainage and stormwater management improvements
- Water distribution systems
- Sanitary sewer systems
- Capital improvement programs
- Municipal transportation and infrastructure projects
- Utility coordination and permitting
- Construction administration and inspection support
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and deliver municipal infrastructure projects from concept through construction
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents
- Develop plans and design documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Coordinate with internal engineering disciplines, subconsultants, utility companies, and regulatory agencies
- Assist with or manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables depending on experience level
- Support permitting and agency approvals
- Participate in client meetings, public presentations, and stakeholder coordination meetings
- Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings during construction
- Provide construction administration and field support as required
- Develop cost estimates and support capital planning efforts
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Support client development and proposal efforts as experience grows
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) licence preferred or in progress
- 5+ years of experience in municipal engineering, public infrastructure, or civil site design
- Experience with roadway, drainage, water, sewer, or capital improvement projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Working knowledge of municipal design standards, permitting requirements, and regulatory processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and project deadlines
- Experience interacting with municipal clients, agencies, contractors, and stakeholders
- Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to project sites as needed
