P&C Electrical Engineer (Houston, TX)
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the electrical design process from initial concept through final delivery, ensuring alignment with project goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Evaluate and recommend electrical equipment by preparing specifications, reviewing vendor submissions, and conducting technical assessments.
- Coordinate with suppliers, engineers, and design teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components and systems.
- Contribute to project planning efforts including timelines, resource allocation, budgeting, and construction strategies. Manage scope changes effectively.
- Apply advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles, industry standards, and regulatory codes to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Tackle complex design challenges with innovative approaches and non-standard methodologies.
- Supervise construction phase activities, including site inspections, troubleshooting installation issues, and validating system performance.
- Ensure field activities meet internal quality benchmarks and safety protocols.
- Lead the preparation of cost estimates, proposals, and qualification documents to support financial and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive system integration across all engineering domains.
- Monitor project compliance with safety regulations, engineering guidelines, and operational procedures.
- Specify and validate major electrical systems such as switchgear, transformers, motor controllers, UPS units, and protection schemes.
- Provide technical support to clients during procurement, bid evaluations, and equipment testing phases.
- Maintain and enhance internal standards and documentation for electrical systems and equipment.
- Balance multiple projects and deadlines with effective prioritization and time management.
- Communicate professionally across diverse teams and stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Uphold ethical standards and demonstrate integrity in all professional interactions.
- Exhibit strong verbal communication and active listening skills in both in-person and remote settings.
- Maintain consistent attendance and performance, including flexibility to work outside standard hours when needed.

- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices within the electrical engineering discipline.

Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design for large-scale facilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access.
