Compensation: $82,000 - $125,000+ (dependent on experience)
About the Opportunity
A well-established electric utility is seeking a Plant Engineer to support operations at a large-scale power generation facility. This position is available at the Engineer I, II, or III level, depending on qualifications and experience. The selected candidate will play a key role in improving plant performance, supporting capital projects, and driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and manage plant improvement and reliability projects.
- Perform thermal performance and operational efficiency analysis.
- Partner with plant operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction and increased plant availability.
- Provide technical engineering support for plant systems and equipment.
- Assist with long-term planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Engineer I
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Understanding of engineering principles, safety practices, and industry standards.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to manage smaller assignments under guidance.
Engineer II
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 2+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Proven ability to independently manage projects and technical assignments.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Engineer III
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of power plant systems, engineering standards, construction practices, and safety regulations.
- Experience leading projects and mentoring less experienced engineers.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to varied audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within power generation, utility, industrial manufacturing, or heavy process facilities.
- Knowledge of applicable engineering and safety standards.
- Ability to work in both office and field environments.
- Valid driver's license.
