Plumbing Project Manager - Commercial Plumbing

A respected mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Project Manager to oversee plumbing projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role will manage all aspects of project delivery, including budgeting, scheduling, coordination with field teams, and client communication on commercial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial plumbing projects from contract award through completion
- Develop and maintain project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and vendors
- Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors, owners, and design teams
- Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work for accuracy and constructability
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress billings
- Procure plumbing materials, fixtures, and equipment in alignment with schedules
- Support field operations with planning, manpower loading, and issue resolution
- Ensure projects meet schedule, quality, and safety standards
- Lead project closeout, including punch lists, as-builts, and turnover documentation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial plumbing construction
- Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, codes, and installation practices
- Experience managing projects such as healthcare, education, office, multifamily, hospitality, or industrial facilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of job costing, change management, and contractual requirements
- Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Sage, CMiC, etc.)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
