Senior Professional Land Surveyor / Survey Project Manager | Eastern Panhandle, WV
I'm currently partnered with a well-established, employee-owned engineering and consulting firm that is looking to add a Senior Professional Land Surveyor / Project Manager to help support and grow its surveying operations in the Eastern Panhandle region of West Virginia.
This opportunity is ideal for a licensed surveyor who enjoys a mix of project management, team leadership, client interaction, and business development, while remaining involved in technically challenging survey projects across a variety of sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, utility, route, and construction survey projects from proposal through delivery
- Develop scopes, budgets, schedules, and staffing plans
- Lead and mentor field and office survey personnel
- Perform QA/QC reviews of survey deliverables
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, developers, and public agencies
- Support business development initiatives and practice growth efforts
- Play a key role in the long-term development of the surveying team and regional operations

Desired Background
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS/PS) or ability to obtain reciprocity
- 10+ years of land surveying experience
- Project management and client-facing experience
- Strong knowledge of boundary, ALTA, topographic, and construction surveys
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey processing software
- Understanding of GPS/GNSS, control networks, and modern surveying technology
- Leadership and mentoring experience preferred
- Exposure to UAV, LiDAR, or emerging survey technologies is a plus
