We are seeking a Licensed Land Surveyor to lead survey projects supporting renewable energy, power delivery, and utility infrastructure development.
This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong survey professional who can manage complex projects from concept through completion, develop field and office teams, and maintain high standards of quality and client service. Projects may include solar, wind, battery energy storage, transmission, substation, and related energy infrastructure.
What You'll Do
You'll oversee survey delivery across a range of renewable energy and power projects while supporting the growth and development of the survey team.
- Project Leadership: Plan, schedule, and manage survey projects to ensure accurate, timely, and on-budget delivery
- Renewables and Power Projects: Support utility-scale solar, wind, battery storage, transmission, distribution, substation, and related infrastructure projects
- Technical Oversight: Prepare and review ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, plats, legal descriptions, easements, right-of-way documents, and construction staking deliverables
- Team Development: Mentor and guide office and field staff, providing technical direction, coaching, and performance feedback
- Client Engagement: Build relationships with utility providers, renewable energy developers, engineering partners, and other project stakeholders
- Quality and Compliance: Ensure all survey deliverables meet applicable regulatory requirements, professional standards, and internal quality procedures
- Financial Accountability: Manage project budgets, proposals, billing, forecasting, and overall financial performance
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, environmental, permitting, and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle
Occasional field work or travel may be required to support project needs and maintain a strong connection with field operations.
What You Bring
- Active Professional Land Surveyor license
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 10 to 15+ years of progressive land surveying experience, including project management or technical leadership
- Experience supporting renewable energy, electric utility, transmission, substation, or other power infrastructure projects preferred
- Strong knowledge of boundary, topographic, ALTA, right-of-way, easement, and construction surveying
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, budgets, and client expectations
- Experience leading and developing field and office survey teams
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and client relationship skills
- Willingness to support business development and help grow renewable energy and power-related survey services
