Project Surveyor (PLS/LSIT)
Location: Sacramento, CA
A well-established Engineering & Surveying consulting firm is seeking a Project Surveyor to join its growing Sacramento team. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed (PLS) or soon-to-be licensed (LSIT) survey professional looking to take ownership of projects, mentor staff, and play a key role in delivering high-profile land development, transportation, infrastructure, and public works projects throughout Northern California.

Responsibilities
- Manage land surveying projects from proposal through final delivery
- Coordinate field crews, office staff, clients, and project stakeholders
- Review and prepare boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, right-of-way maps, records of survey, parcel maps, and final maps
- Conduct deed research, boundary analysis, and survey calculations
- Oversee quality control and ensure compliance with local and state regulations
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Support business development efforts and maintain client relationships
- Mentor and develop junior survey staff and technicians
Qualifications
- California Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred
- Strong knowledge of California surveying principles, mapping laws, and boundary analysis
- Experience managing survey projects and coordinating field and office personnel
- Proficiency with Auto-CAD Civil 3D, Carlson, Trimble Business Center, or related survey software
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
