The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their expanding Nashville, TN team. This is a key technical role with responsibility for full project life‑cycle involvement - design, development, coordination, and successful delivery. You will prepare engineering analyses and drawings for senior review and take ownership of engineering outputs throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client relationships and lead discussions with architects, contractors, and project partners
- Support business development by securing repeat work from existing clients and contributing to proposals and RFIs
- Provide technical leadership across design calculations, construction documents, and project submittals
- Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs to ensure high‑quality, accurate deliverables
- Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) when required
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) licence
- BS with PE, or MS with PE and/or SE
- 5-10 years' experience in building design
- Active PE licence (multi‑state experience advantageous)
- Seismic design experience required
- Proficiency in Revit
- Experience with industry-standard structural software such as RAM, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, and Microsoft/Bentley tools
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines within a fast‑paced environment
- Strong knowledge of relevant jurisdictional codes and standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Motivated, organised, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to take full ownership of work produced
