Project Manager
Overview:
Our client, a well‑established Civil Engineering consultancy in the Irvine area, is seeking a Project Manager to support a growing portfolio of private, commercial, institutional, and residential land development projects. The firm emphasizes technical excellence, mentorship, and providing meaningful professional growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage land development projects from start to finish
- Utilize internal resource groups for design and preparation of design and construction documents
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate all phases of each project
- Provide construction-phase services, including site visits and shop drawing review
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, consultants, and project representatives
- Assemble and coordinate consultant teams, including defining scope, collecting fees, selecting consultants, and facilitating contracts
- Coordinate with consultants across trades to produce complete, coordinated contract documents and specifications for permitting and construction
- Perform local, county, state, and federal code searches and project analysis
- Maintain responsibility for the financial success of assigned projects
- Communicate effectively with clients, brokers, contractors, consultants, and internal team members
- Mentor and help train developing staff
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary ranging from $140,000-$170,000+, depending on experience and licensure

Key Qualifications:
- 8+ years of civil engineering experience in land development, site development, or related areas
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- EIT or PE Licensed Preferred
- Experience with grading, utility design, hydrology/hydraulics, stormwater quality, and civil plan production
- Familiarity with permitting and submittal processes in Los Angeles or Southern California jurisdictions
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Ability to prepare civil plans, perform engineering calculations, and support technical documentation
- Strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills
- Self‑motivated with a strong sense of urgency to meet project deadlines and client needs
