Position Summary

This role is intended for a senior engineer who will contribute to and oversee the delivery of water infrastructure initiatives. The position blends technical design responsibilities with project leadership and client coordination across multiple phases of work.


Core Responsibilities

  • Direct execution of engineering tasks across a range of infrastructure efforts, from early-stage evaluations to final construction support
  • Monitor and manage project performance indicators such as cost tracking, delivery timelines, scope commitments, and quality benchmarks
  • Produce engineering deliverables including calculations, layouts, design documentation, procurement specifications, and cost assessments tied to water systems
  • Develop written materials such as project summaries, internal documentation, and technical reports; review data and assist with implementation during active construction
  • Provide leadership and guidance to supporting engineers and technical personnel contributing to project objectives
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients, ensuring expectations are met and identifying opportunities for continued collaboration

Required Experience & Credentials

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Approximately 10+ years of applicable experience in water-focused engineering work
  • Familiarity with infrastructure such as treatment plants, conveyance systems, reservoirs, well facilities, or planning-level studies
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Experience handling projects through multiple phases, including design development and construction oversight, with accountability for delivery outcomes
  • Effective communicator with the ability to present technical information clearly
  • Comfortable working in team-oriented environments with cross-functional coordination
  • Proven ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining quality and deadlines

Additional Preferred Experience

  • Graduate-level education in environmental or water resources engineering
  • Exposure to field activities or construction-phase engineering services

Compensation Range

$120,000 - $180,000 annually

Compensation within this range will be determined based on experience, technical expertise, licensure, education, location, and business considerations. The range provided represents a good faith estimate and may be adjusted.
