QAQC Manager Data Centers Texas
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to join a major hyperscale data center construction projects in Texas. This individual will be responsible for implementing and managing the project quality programme, ensuring all work is delivered in accordance with contract requirements, industry standards, client expectations, and applicable codes.
The QA/QC Manager will work closely with project leadership, field teams, subcontractors, commissioning personnel, and client stakeholders to drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific QA/QC plans and procedures.
- Conduct quality inspections, audits, and field reviews across civil, structural, architectural, electrical, and mechanical scopes.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and test reports to ensure compliance.
- Manage inspection and test plans (ITPs), deficiency tracking, NCRs, punch lists, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with commissioning teams to support successful system turnover and client acceptance.
- Lead quality meetings with project teams and trade partners.
- Oversee third-party testing agencies and ensure accurate documentation of inspection activities.
- Monitor quality metrics, identify trends, and implement process improvements to minimise rework.
- Maintain project quality documentation, turnover packages, and closeout records.
- Support a zero-defect delivery approach across all phases of construction.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of QA/QC experience within commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience managing quality programmes on large, complex construction projects.
- Knowledge of commissioning, testing, system turnover, and closeout processes.
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, BIM 360, or similar platforms.
- Strong communication, leadership, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Hyperscale or mission-critical data center construction.
- MEP-intensive projects.
- Working with commissioning agents, owners, and third-party inspectors.
- Fast-paced, large-scale construction environments with multiple subcontractor trades onsite.
