Regional Director, Southeast Asia

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to drive the development of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar projects across Southeast Asia. This role involves strategic market analysis, team leadership, business development, and cross-functional collaboration to expand our footprint in the region's renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Research & Strategy:
    Conduct comprehensive research on C&I solar markets in Southeast Asia, including regulatory frameworks, industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Deliver actionable insights to inform regional business strategies.

  • Team Leadership:
    Build and lead a high-performing regional team focused on C&I solar project development and engineering. Set clear goals and drive execution to meet business development targets.

  • Business Development:
    Develop and implement market entry and expansion plans. Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders including government bodies, corporate clients, and strategic partners to secure project opportunities and drive revenue growth.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with internal departments to ensure seamless project delivery and exceptional customer service.

  • Brand & Market Presence:
    Promote the company's brand and solutions in Southeast Asia through targeted outreach and engagement activities to enhance visibility and influence in the C&I solar space.

  • Risk Management:
    Identify and evaluate operational risks such as policy changes and market volatility. Develop mitigation strategies to ensure sustainable business growth.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English, with strong communication skills for business negotiations and documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Southeast Asian market development, including 3 years in team leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in C&I solar project development, grid resource acquisition, or energy equipment sales.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, with a solid understanding of the C&I solar value chain and product technologies.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, leadership capabilities, and interpersonal communication.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Southeast Asia or currently based in the region.
