Safety Manager- DFW
Our client is seeking a Safety Specialist to support projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and surrounding areas. This role is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, conducting site inspections, and partnering with field leadership to maintain safe and productive job sites.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on heavy civil construction projects such as highways, bridges, underground utilities, earthwork, site development, or related infrastructure projects. This individual will play a key role in identifying hazards, training employees, investigating incidents, and driving continuous improvement across multiple project locations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee training programs.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses while developing corrective action plans.
- Assist project teams with hazard assessments, JHAs, and site-specific safety plans.
- Monitor subcontractor safety performance and compliance.
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation.
- Partner with project managers, superintendents, and foremen to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety processes and reduce risk across projects.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of construction safety experience, preferably within heavy civil construction.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety best practices.
- Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with field personnel and project leadership.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- CHST, SMS, CSP, or other safety certifications are a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between projects throughout the DFW area.
