A well-established multidisciplinary architecture and engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Architect to join its growing team in eastern or central North Carolina. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced architect who enjoys leading projects, building client relationships, mentoring team members, and contributing to meaningful work that serves communities across the region.

About the Opportunity

The successful candidate will bring 10+ years of architectural experience and a passion for guiding projects from initial concept through construction. This role combines design leadership, project management, client engagement, and team development within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Projects may include a mix of healthcare, industrial, institutional, civic, and public-sector facilities, providing variety and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the built environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders
  • Collaborate with clients to establish project goals, design objectives, budgets, and schedules
  • Lead architectural projects through all phases of design and construction
  • Direct and coordinate project teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Prepare and oversee design presentations, construction documents, specifications, and technical deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and permitting requirements
  • Coordinate with consultants, engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Manage project scope, schedules, staffing, and budgets
  • Support proposal development, client presentations, and business development efforts
  • Provide construction administration services and project oversight during construction
  • Mentor emerging professionals and contribute to a collaborative team culture

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from an accredited program
  • 10+ years of architectural design and project delivery experience
  • Licensed Architect required, or ability to obtain licensure in North Carolina within a reasonable timeframe
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects from concept through construction
  • Strong communication, leadership, and client management skills
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams
  • Proficiency with Revit preferred
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to collaboration, professional growth, and technical excellence
