日本国内における大規模バッテリーエネルギー貯蔵プロジェクトの技術開発および建設を支援するシニアプロジェクトエンジニアを募集しています。

エンジニアリングマネージャーに直属し、プロジェクトの初期開発段階から建設、運転開始、運用移管まで、プロジェクトライフサイクル全体にわたる重要な役割を担います。

開発、調達、建設、運用、電力取引など社内部門と密接に連携するとともに、外部エンジニアリング会社、施工会社、電力会社、行政機関およびその他のステークホルダーとの関係構築・管理を担当していただきます。

3) 主な業務内容

プロジェクト開発および技術支援

• 開発チームおよびプロジェクトデリバリーチームに対し包括的な技術支援を提供
• バッテリーエネルギー貯蔵プロジェクトの開発および実行をサポート
• 技術デューデリジェンス、机上調査、現地調査を通じた新規案件の評価
• サイトレイアウト、システム容量設計、機器選定を含むプロジェクト設計の作成、レビューおよび最適化
• 外部エンジニアリングコンサルタントおよび技術ベンダーの管理・調整
• プロジェクトの技術リスク評価および軽減策の策定

調達および技術標準化

• 調達チームと連携し、プロジェクト設計および機器標準の確立と実施
• コスト、品質、信頼性および性能目標を満たす技術ソリューションの選定
• 主要機器およびシステムの技術評価支援
• 技術仕様書や入札資料の作成およびレビュー

系統連系および電力会社対応

• 系統連系申請の準備および管理支援
• 電力会社および関係機関との技術協議の実施
• 系統接続プロセス全体における技術課題への対応
• 連系要件に関する技術文書の確認および管理

建設プロジェクト遂行

• 建設契約、地盤調査および技術調査の技術仕様書作成
• オーナーズエンジニアおよび施工会社との技術調整

4) 応募要件

• 工学系学位保有者（電気工学専攻歓迎）
• エネルギー、電力、インフラ、エンジニアリングコンサルティングまたは建設業界における5年以上の実務経験
• プロジェクト開発および建設フェーズにおける経験
• 優れたプロジェクトマネジメント能力およびステークホルダーマネジメント能力
• BESSの設計、性能および制御システムに関する知識
• 変電設備、PCS（Power Conversion System）、SCADAシステムおよび防火設備に関する理解
• 高い分析力および問題解決能力
• 変化の速い環境でのプロジェクト推進経験
• Microsoft Excel、プロジェクト管理ソフトウェアおよびCADツールの使用経験

Senior Project Engineer (BESS)

2) Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support the technical development and construction delivery of utility-scale battery energy storage projects across Japan.

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, this role will play a critical part in delivering projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from early-stage development and engineering through construction, commissioning, and operational handover.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams across development, procurement, construction, operations, and trading functions while managing relationships with external engineering consultants, contractors, utilities, regulatory bodies, and project stakeholders.

3) Key Responsibilities

Project Development & Engineering Support

• Provide comprehensive engineering support to development and project delivery teams.
• Support the successful development and execution of utility-scale BESS projects.
• Evaluate new project opportunities through technical due diligence, desktop studies, and site assessments.
• Prepare, review, and optimise project designs including site layouts, system sizing, and equipment selection.
• Manage and coordinate external engineering consultants and technical vendors.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical project risks.

Procurement & Technical Standards

• Collaborate with procurement teams to establish and implement project design and equipment standards.
• Ensure technical solutions support project cost, quality, reliability, and performance objectives.
• Support technical evaluations of key equipment suppliers and system solutions.
• Prepare and review technical specifications and tender documentation.

Grid & Utility Interface Management

• Support the preparation and management of grid connection applications.
• Coordinate with utilities and relevant stakeholders throughout the interconnection process.
• Assist in resolving technical issues related to grid integration and compliance requirements.
• Manage grid-related technical documentation and approvals.

Construction Delivery

• Prepare technical scopes of work for construction contracts, site investigations, and engineering studies.
• Interface with Owner's Engineers and contractors to ensure compliance with design and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate design reviews, quality assurance activities, risk assessments, and technical approvals.
• Manage technical project delivery throughout construction.
• Ensure safety, schedule, quality, and budget objectives are achieved.
• Support commissioning and project energisation activities.

Site Management & Stakeholder Coordination

• Conduct regular site visits and prepare progress reports highlighting project risks and milestones.
• Support project handovers from development to construction and from construction to operations.
• Facilitate communication and coordination among internal and external stakeholders.

4) Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in energy, power, infrastructure, engineering consultancy, or construction sectors.
• Proven experience supporting project development and construction activities.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including design, performance, and control systems.
• Understanding of substations, Power Conversion Systems (PCS), SCADA systems, and fire protection systems.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in dynamic and fast-paced project environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, project management software, and CAD tools.
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Japanese.
• Strong commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Experience in renewable energy, energy storage, or transmission and distribution projects is highly desirable.
