The successful candidate will help clients mitigate water intrusion, condensation, air leakage, energy loss, and long‑term material deterioration through thoughtful design, investigation, and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex building enclosure consulting projects from concept through construction.
- Serve as a senior technical advisor and primary point of contact for key client relationships.
- Contribute to and lead business development efforts, including strategic pursuit of new opportunities in the Texas and regional markets.
- Provide technical oversight and review of enclosure work performed by other team members.
- Mentor, train, and guide technical staff on both engineering judgment and consulting best practices.
- Prepare and review scopes, budgets, and proposals for a wide variety of building and client types.
- Perform detailed reviews of construction documents for technical accuracy, constructability, and risk.
- Evaluate existing buildings to diagnose enclosure failures and develop repair and rehabilitation solutions.
- Author clear, well‑reasoned reports outlining methodologies, observations, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Participate in design, pre‑construction, pre‑installation, and construction progress meetings as a senior enclosure expert.
- Conduct periodic site observations to verify compliance with contract documents, manufacturers' requirements, and industry standards.
- Travel periodically outside the San Antonio area for regional project assignments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related discipline, or equivalent depth of professional experience.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in building enclosure design, investigation, consulting, or construction.
- Demonstrated experience in senior technical leadership or practice‑level roles within a consulting environment.
