Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Building Envelope Architect or Engineer to lead restoration and compliance projects throughout New York City. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with FISP/Local Law 11 and Local Law 126, and a strong background in managing façade restoration projects from inspection through construction.

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, mentor junior staff, and grow into a leadership position within the firm. You'll also be supported in pursuing your QEWI or QPSI designation if not already held.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead building envelope inspections, assessments, and restoration projects across NYC

  • Prepare and review FISP/Local Law 11 reports and filings

  • Oversee Local Law 126 compliance strategies and documentation

  • Develop restoration scopes, technical specifications, and construction documents

  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and client communications

  • Conduct site visits and construction administration for active restoration projects

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success

  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal training initiatives

  • Support efforts to obtain QEWI or QPSI credentials

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in building envelope design, inspection, and restoration

  • Strong familiarity with FISP/Local Law 11 and Local Law 126 compliance

  • Proven track record managing restoration projects in NYC

  • Professional licensure: PE (Professional Engineer) or RA (Registered Architect) strongly preferred

  • Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

  • Passion for preservation, safety, and technical excellence

  • QEWI or QPSI designation is a plus, or a strong desire to pursue it
