The Role
A senior-level civil engineering position combining technical project leadership, team management, and client-facing responsibilities. You'll design full site plans, supervise a team of engineers and designers, and coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams on a diverse portfolio of commercial land development projects.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of civil engineering designers and project engineers
- Manage civil engineering projects from conception through construction document completion
- Design full site plans including site layout, grading, utility design, erosion and sediment control, SWPPP preparation, and stormwater management
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, structural engineers, and construction project managers
- Engage with clients throughout all project phases and coordinate with sub-consultants
- Assist in preparing and negotiating contracts and change orders
- Establish and maintain project, phase, and task-level budgets and schedules
- Conduct site visits and prepare reports and recommendations
- Prepare design calculations, RFI responses, and construction submittals
- Coordinate with authorities having jurisdiction through all project phases
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- PE license in Civil Engineering
- 8+ years of site/civil production experience, preferably on commercial projects such as retail, restaurants, convenience, or fueling
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of municipal codes and constructability
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and develop junior staff
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams across complex commercial projects
- Familiarity with Washington State permitting and design standards
- Track record of managing project budgets and schedules across multiple concurrent projects

Compensation
- $95,000 to $155,000 depending on experience, plus performance-based bonus
