Senior Geotechnical/CMT Engineer
A well-established engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Geotechnical & Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Lead to drive the continued growth of its El Paso operations.

About the Role
The successful candidate will serve as a technical and business leader for the region, overseeing geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing projects while strengthening relationships with existing clients and identifying new opportunities for growth.
The position is well suited to someone who enjoys client interaction, business development, project management, and mentoring teams, while remaining involved in the technical delivery of geotechnical and CMT services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage geotechnical engineering and CMT operations in the El Paso market
- Maintain and expand relationships with public and private sector clients
- Support business development efforts and identify opportunities for regional growth
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout project lifecycles
- Oversee project delivery, budgets, schedules, and quality control
- Review geotechnical reports, engineering recommendations, and technical deliverables
- Provide leadership and mentorship to engineering, laboratory, and field staff
- Collaborate with established teams across Texas to support strategic growth initiatives
- Act as a key point of contact for transportation, infrastructure, commercial, and public sector projects
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
- Strong background in both Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing (CMT)
- Experience managing client relationships and developing business opportunities
- Familiarity with TxDOT projects and transportation-related work preferred
- Proven project management and leadership experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to lead both technical delivery and market growth initiatives
- 5+ Years Experience
