About the Position
This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced Medical Equipment Planner to lead equipment planning efforts on complex healthcare projects. The role combines technical leadership, client engagement, and project coordination, with a strong focus on delivering well-integrated, clinically informed equipment solutions. The position is client-facing and requires periodic travel to the San Francisco Bay Area.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead medical equipment planning efforts from early programming through procurement and installation
- Collaborate closely with clinical stakeholders, architects, engineers, and project managers
- Develop detailed equipment lists, cost estimates, and budgets aligned with clinical workflows
- Coordinate equipment requirements with room layouts, utilities, and architectural plans
- Support procurement activities including vendor coordination, bid reviews, and delivery planning
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, serving as a subject matter expert
- Mentor junior equipment planners and contribute to overall team development
Requirements
- Extensive experience in medical equipment planning for healthcare facilities
- Strong working knowledge of acute care and outpatient environments
- Proven experience working directly with healthcare clients and clinical users
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Willingness and ability to travel to the San Francisco Bay Area as required
