Senior Project Engineer - Power & Renewables

Our client is a global energy & infrastructure firm responsible for developing, owning and operating assets related to conventional power generation, renewable energy and mission critical projects. As we scale our North American footprint, we have an exciting opening for a Senior Project Engineer with a background in power utility projects that is eager to broaden their skill set to new technologies.

Opportunity to sit 100% remote from the US if preferred but must be willing to demonstrate calabilities and desire to be a team player / part of a collaborative culture even if remote.


Highlight of responsibilities:

  • Pair technical engineering leadership with effective communication skills - in this role you will be coordinating with several disciplines including managing EORs, working with development, operations, construction and engineering entities.
  • Review and produce engineering drawings, specs, and calculations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments.
  • Ensure designs meet industry codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Support equipment selection, procurement, and vendor coordination.
  • Act as technical liaison between clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, utilities).

Your background:

  • 5-10+ years of engineering experience from an employer. Masters degree will be counted as 2 years of applicable experience.
  • Project experience working on at least two of the following projects: power generation (gas turbines, conventional), power generation (distributed generation or utility-scale solar, battery energy energy storage), utility substations, medium voltage or transmission systems.
  • Previous experience working directly for an EPC/OEM, engineering firm, developer or owner/operator is preferred.
  • Bachelors of engineering degree - electrical, civil, structural, etc.
  • PE License is not required but a huge plus.
