Senior Project Manager - New Jersey

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale industrial construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage complex schedules, budgets, and stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Oversee all phases of industrial construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and execution.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, monitor costs, and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
  • Scheduling: Create and maintain detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project. Ensure timely completion of milestones.
  • Risk & Safety Management: Enforce safety standards and compliance with OSHA and company policies. Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor project teams, including superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors. Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to specifications, codes, and client requirements through rigorous quality control processes.
  • Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to senior leadership and clients, highlighting key metrics, risks, and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Experience: 10+ years in construction project management, with at least 5 years managing large industrial projects (manufacturing plants, distribution centers, energy facilities).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project), cost estimating tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certifications: PMP, CCM, or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of industrial construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and contract administration.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
