Senior Structural Engineer - Data Centers

Salary: $120,000 - $170,000 + Bonus (Dependent on Experience)

A leading structural engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead the delivery of complex data center and mission-critical projects from its Atlanta office.

This opportunity is ideal for an engineer with proven data center experience who wants to take ownership of large-scale projects, work directly with clients, mentor engineers, and play a key role in the continued growth of a nationally recognized structural engineering practice. You'll work on hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center developments that are helping shape the future of cloud computing, AI infrastructure, and critical facilities.

The Role

As a senior member of the team, you will provide technical leadership and oversee projects from concept through construction while collaborating closely with architects, contractors, MEP partners, and owners.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and project delivery for data center and mission-critical projects.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams throughout project execution.
• Perform and review structural analysis and design calculations.
• Oversee steel, concrete, and foundation design.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers.
• Participate in business development and client-facing activities.
• Drive technical excellence and innovative project solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• PE license required.
• SE license preferred.
• 8+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading data center, mission-critical, industrial, manufacturing, or other large-scale structural projects.
• Strong knowledge of steel and concrete design.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
