Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer
Location: Spokane, WA
Salary: $125,000 - $175,000+ (flexible for the right candidate)
About the Opportunity
A well-established consulting engineering firm is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join its growing team in Spokane. This role offers the opportunity to lead impactful municipal infrastructure projects throughout the Pacific Northwest while helping shape the future direction of a respected and expanding practice.
You'll work alongside a collaborative group of engineers, planners, and project managers delivering projects that directly improve communities, water systems, and public infrastructure.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Serve as a project manager and technical lead for municipal clients.
- Develop and maintain client relationships with cities, counties, utility districts, and special-purpose agencies.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Perform and review engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
- Mentor and develop junior engineering staff.
- Support business development efforts, including proposals, presentations, and client outreach.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 8+ years of experience in water and/or wastewater engineering consulting.
- Experience managing municipal infrastructure projects from planning through construction.
- Strong technical background in one or more of the following:
- Water distribution systems
- Wastewater collection systems
- Pump stations
- Treatment facilities
- Hydraulic modeling
- Capital improvement planning
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and project teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
