Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 + benefits + employee ownership

My client is an employee-owned architecture, engineering and consulting firm with 250+ people across several US offices. They're behind some of the most high-profile venues and civic buildings in Michigan, including major sports and entertainment projects that are reshaping downtown areas.
They're hiring an EIT to join the structural team, based out of either their Grand Rapids or Detroit office. You'll work alongside architects, planners and other engineers, not off in a structural silo.
What you'll be working on
- Structural analysis and design in steel, wood, masonry, precast and concrete
- Foundations, composite floor systems and retaining walls
- Specialty work, including mass timber and complex wood structures
- Sectors including civic, cultural, sports, healthcare, senior living and industrial
- Calcs, drawings and coordination with multidisciplinary project teams
- Site visits as projects move through construction
What you'll bring
- BS or MS in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering
- EIT certification, or passed the FE and ready to apply
- 0 to 4 years of experience. Internships count.
- A working knowledge of steel, concrete and wood design
- Exposure to Revit, RISA, RAM or similar is a plus
- You want to get your PE and you'd like a firm that helps you get there
