An industry-leading engineering consulting firm is seeking Structural Nuclear Engineers ranging from experienced mid-level professionals through senior technical leaders and engineering managers. This is an opportunity to work on some of the most complex and high-profile nuclear and power generation projects in the country, supporting both new plant initiatives and the modernization of existing infrastructure.
What You'll Be Doing
- Perform structural analysis and design for nuclear facilities and critical infrastructure projects.
- Design and evaluate reinforced concrete and steel structures.
- Develop calculations, technical reports, construction documents, specifications, and engineering packages.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex projects from planning through execution.
- Conduct structural assessments of existing facilities and provide remediation recommendations.
- Review and verify engineering deliverables while ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
- Lead project execution, mentor junior engineers, and interface directly with clients and stakeholders.
- Senior-level hires will have opportunities to supervise teams, manage project delivery, support business development efforts, and serve as Engineer of Record where applicable.
What We're Looking For
Mid-Level Engineers (5+ Years):
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Experience with structural design and analysis.
- Background in heavy industrial, energy, power generation, government, or nuclear projects preferred.
- Working knowledge of relevant structural design codes and standards.
- Experience with structural analysis software such as RISA-3D, STAAD.Pro, GT STRUDL, SAP2000, or ANSYS is highly desirable.
Senior Engineers / Technical Leads (10+ Years):
- Extensive experience delivering complex structural projects within the nuclear, power, or industrial sectors.
- Strong technical expertise in steel and reinforced concrete design.
- Experience leading engineering teams, mentoring staff, and managing project delivery.
- PE license required; SE license highly valued.
- Proven ability to act as a technical authority, client advisor, and project leader.
Preferred Experience
- Nuclear power plant design and modification projects.
- ASME Section III and Section XI.
- ACI 318 / ACI 349.
- AISC Steel Construction Manual.
- Structural design verification and regulatory compliance.
- Preparation of technical specifications and scopes of work.
