Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and assessment of structural systems for a wide range of industrial facilities. Typical responsibilities include:
- Designing structures that safely withstand operational loads, environmental pressures, and longâterm industrial demands.
- Developing calculations for loads, stresses, foundations, and material selection.
- Preparing engineering reports, design criteria, technical drawings, and cost estimates.
- Creating and reviewing structural drawings, including support structures, foundations, and equipment bases.
- Overseeing and inspecting construction activities, ensuring all work meets structural integrity standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborating with process, mechanical, civil, and architectural engineering teams to align structural design with operational needs.
- Providing onâsite engineering support, reviewing vendor documentation, and participating in structural assessments.
- Using CAD and structural analysis tools for modelling, simulation, and design optimisation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 6+ years of experience in structural engineering for heavy industrial or manufacturing facilities
- Experience with structural analysis software such as STAAD, AutoCAD, and Revit (or comparable tools).
- Understanding of construction methods, materials, industry codes, and relevant legal regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to challenge existing approaches and deliver improved solutions.
