Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and assessment of structural systems for a wide range of industrial facilities. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Designing structures that safely withstand operational loads, environmental pressures, and long‑term industrial demands.
  • Developing calculations for loads, stresses, foundations, and material selection.
  • Preparing engineering reports, design criteria, technical drawings, and cost estimates.
  • Creating and reviewing structural drawings, including support structures, foundations, and equipment bases.
  • Overseeing and inspecting construction activities, ensuring all work meets structural integrity standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with process, mechanical, civil, and architectural engineering teams to align structural design with operational needs.
  • Providing on‑site engineering support, reviewing vendor documentation, and participating in structural assessments.
  • Using CAD and structural analysis tools for modelling, simulation, and design optimisation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 6+ years of experience in structural engineering for heavy industrial or manufacturing facilities
  • Experience with structural analysis software such as STAAD, AutoCAD, and Revit (or comparable tools).
  • Understanding of construction methods, materials, industry codes, and relevant legal regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to challenge existing approaches and deliver improved solutions.
