LVI Associates is representing a highly respected multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm in its search for a Structural Engineering Office Lead to establish and grow its presence in the Bozeman, Montana market.

Key Responsibilities
Office & Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the Bozeman structural engineering office.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain engineering staff as the office expands.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on technical excellence and client service.
- Establish operational procedures and best practices to support sustainable growth.
Business Development & Client Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with architects, developers, contractors, municipalities, and institutional clients.
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities across Montana and the Mountain West.
- Represent the firm at industry events, networking functions, and professional organizations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to execute regional growth initiatives.
Project Leadership
- Direct structural design and project delivery efforts from concept through construction.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, and quality control processes.
- Serve as the primary client contact on key projects.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to project teams.
Technical Engineering
- Lead structural analysis and design for a variety of building types and project scales.
- Review and approve engineering calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards.
- Support innovative and efficient structural solutions aligned with project goals.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects and client relationships.
- Strong understanding of building design, structural systems, and construction methodologies.
- Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Excellent communication and business development skills.
Preferred
- Structural Engineer (SE) license.
- Experience leading an office, practice group, or regional team.
- Existing relationships within Montana or the Mountain West engineering market.
- Experience across commercial, higher education, healthcare, hospitality, municipal, or mixed-use projects.
