A growing engineering and consulting firm is seeking a Survey Project Lead to provide regional leadership for its survey operations. This individual will partner with senior leadership to drive strategic growth, oversee operations, support business development efforts, and mentor local survey leaders across multiple offices. The role will play a key part in shaping the vision, standards, and long-term success of the survey practice throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with regional and divisional leadership to develop and implement strategic growth plans for survey services.
- Mentor, develop, and support local survey leaders and technical staff.
- Coordinate workload and resources across multiple offices within the region.
- Assist with hiring, staffing, succession planning, and team development initiatives.
- Promote consistency in survey standards, deliverables, policies, and best practices.
- Drive innovation by staying current on emerging survey technologies, software, and industry trends.
- Support business development efforts by providing technical expertise and helping expand client relationships.
- Assist leadership in evaluating compensation, resource allocation, and operational performance.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience within the land surveying industry.
- Strong understanding of survey operations, project management, and business practices.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams across multiple offices or regions.
- Excellent client relationship and business development skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound independent decisions.
