About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Survey Technician to join our growing Fort Worth team. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced surveyors, engineers, and project managers on a diverse range of transportation, municipal, land development, and infrastructure projects across Texas.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting field survey operations, processing survey data, and assisting with the preparation of survey deliverables. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, route, and construction surveys.
- Operate survey equipment including GPS, robotic total stations, and data collectors.
- Download, process, and organize field data for office use.
- Assist with preparing survey plats, exhibits, and mapping deliverables.
- Support construction staking and as-built surveys.
- Coordinate with survey crews, project managers, and engineering teams.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and survey records.
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with company standards and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- 1-5+ years of survey experience preferred.
- Experience with GPS and total station equipment.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, Trimble Business Center, or similar software.
- Understanding of boundary, topographic, and construction surveying principles.
- Ability to work both in the field and office environments.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Surveying degree, certificate, or related coursework.
- SIT designation or pursuing professional licensure.
- Experience supporting TxDOT, municipal, or land development projects.
- Drone/UAS experience is a plus.
