I am helping my client to look for an Operating Unit Management Senior Manager to join their team either in Ibaraki or Tokyo office. The company is a Japanese leading company in Electric Power Transmission and Distribution, and as an Unit Senior Manager, you will be working closely with global team to drive the business operation in Japan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the operating unit to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the daily operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of operations.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimize processes.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management on operational performance and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent Business Management degree
  • 10-15 years of experience in managing local businesses for Operating Units or significant experience of all functions in M&S, SCM, Project Management, Technology Transfer, Production & Planning or Change management projects in preferred sectors Power Utilities / Industry / Data Centre / Railways / EPC / End Users, etc.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute plans effectively.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Fluency in Japanese and English is required.
