Transportation Project Manager

A well-established A/E consulting firm with a strong presence in West Virginia-operating five offices across the state-is seeking a Transportation Project Manager with a focus on bridge design. The firm also delivers successful projects in Ohio and Pennsylvania, offering a broad regional footprint and diverse project opportunities. This role is based in Charleston, WV, and offers the chance to lead impactful infrastructure projects, manage multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the firm's continued growth in the transportation sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of statements of qualifications and fee proposals
  • Manage bridge design projects, including QA/QC and plan development
  • Schedule project tasks and allocate resources to meet deadlines and budgets
  • Identify and resolve technical, financial, or scheduling issues proactivel
  • Prepare detailed quantity calculations and construction cost estimates
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, subconsultants, and public agencies
  • Collaborate with construction inspection teams to ensure design intent
  • Mentor junior staff and support their professional growth
  • Travel as needed for project coordination and client meetings

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited)
  • 15+ years of experience
  • PE license in WV or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Strong knowledge of WVDOH, AASHTO, CAD standards
  • Proven success managing WVDOH projects
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills
