We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our growing Transportation team in Massachusetts. This role will be part of an established transportation engineering group supporting a variety of public and private sector infrastructure projects throughout the Commonwealth.
In this position, you will lead and support transportation projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to business development efforts, and help deliver infrastructure solutions that improve mobility, safety, and connectivity across Massachusetts. Projects may include roadway, highway, complete streets, traffic, multimodal, municipal, and other transportation-related improvements.
The Impact You Will Have
- Collaborate with local leadership to support project pursuits and successful project delivery.
- Lead and manage transportation engineering projects from planning and design through final delivery.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project partners.
- Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, presentations, and project pursuits.
- Coordinate and mentor technical staff to facilitate efficient project execution and professional growth.
- Provide leadership and technical oversight for transportation infrastructure projects, including roadway, highway, municipal, multimodal, and related transportation improvements.
- Prepare and review plans, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, including traffic, drainage, environmental, structural, and planning teams.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure quality and client satisfaction.
- Support Project Managers, Design Leaders, and team members in the successful completion of projects.
- Maintain organized project documentation and communication throughout project lifecycles.
- Collaborate within a dynamic team environment to deliver high-quality solutions for clients.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in transportation, roadway, traffic, municipal, civil infrastructure, or related engineering projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or ability to obtain Massachusetts PE through reciprocity.
- Experience managing projects or serving in a lead technical role on transportation or civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience working with public-sector clients such as MassDOT, municipalities, MBTA, regional agencies, counties, or other transportation-related organizations.
- Familiarity with transportation design standards, project development processes, and infrastructure delivery.
- Experience with transportation design software such as OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar platforms.
- Strong communication, client management, and team leadership skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
